Yesterday was a federal holiday, so my office was closed. Holidays are so much nicer when you’ve got a job and can really enjoy the day off!

류 씨 had to work, so I was on my own. I decided to go for a hike in the Verdugos, and went on the Beaudry Loop since it was accessible by bus.

Boy, was that ascent tough. I forgot how steep the south side of the loop is. Or maybe I’m out of shape since I haven’t hiked in a couple of weeks. I hiked to the radio tower at the top of the hill in this photo.

I ran down as much as I could on the descent to make up time since I was so slow on the ascent. I am trying to keep my hiking pace around a 20-min/mile averages.

Including the (hilly) walk to and from the bus stop, my total mileage was 7.5. What a nice way to spend a Monday afternoon.
