I bought Lancome Definicils because I had a Sephora gift card to burn, and I needed a brown mascara, so I thought – why not? I remember using and liking this mascara when I was in my early 20s.
I feel kind of meh about this now, though. Definicils is definitely a nice mascara, that delivers noticeable length, but for $27 I suppose I expected some kind of miracle. This does not perform better than either of the other mascaras that I reviewed for Mascara Monday, both of which are cheaper and cruelty-free.
I will use up the tube I have, but I will not repurchase. Do you have any recommendations for a cruelty-free brown mascara? Why is this such an elusive product??

Ironic – I loved Defincils in my 20s as well. I haven’t tried it in recent years though. I’ve found good->great mascaras at the drugstore which allows me to replace every 3-6 mos as is recommended. I will keep my eyes open for a brown cruelty-free mascara. Added you to my Bloglovin’ list too.
