Face of the Day

Today I went to the movies. I didn’t want to wear too much makeup since I walked there and back, ~6 miles total in 90-degree weather. It’s October! When is autumn going to start??

Just a few products today

This is the first time I’ve used Aromaleigh foundation. I’m going to finish the sample before I write a review on it, but so far so GREAT.

One of my favorite blush/lips combinations is Everyday Minerals Snuggle and Eyeko’s Strawberry Fat Balm. They make me look bright, awake, and dare I say it…youthful. Unfortunately, both Eyeko and Everyday Minerals seem to have been re-branded since I purchased these items. Eyeko now only sells mascara, and Everyday Minerals changed their formulas…so I’ll just enjoy the items I have now. Snuggle blush should be easy enough to replace, but I’m not looking forward to the day I run out of my Fat Balm!

Product Review – Lash M 3-in-1 Eye Bright

I’ve been using Lash M 3-in-1 Eye Bright for the last few weeks. Thanks to Meg’s Makeup for sending this to me in a recent gift package!

  • I like the icy, tingly feeling I get under my eyes when I apply this. I actually use it in the morning too – although the directions say to use it at night – because it makes me feel a bit more awake. I can’t find the ingredients on the Lash M website so I’m not sure what’s in there for that tingle.
  • The texture is a little bit sticky, so I have to put a moisturizer on top of it, lest my skin fold over and stick to itself when I lie down to sleep. The last thing I need in that area is another wrinkle.
  • I haven’t noticed that my panda circles have diminished, nor do I feel like it’s a good moisturizer
  • Finally – the cream squirts out of the container rather indiscriminately, and with that white-ish color…that’s just unfortunate.

Go on, tell me this doesn’t make you blush and giggle a little bit

I don’t think I would repurchase this. This might work for women who don’t have serious under-eye circles or wrinkling problems, but I need something a little more heavy-duty and with some slip.

Face of the Day

Here is what I wore today for an appointment I had at 9am:

Image

  • Foundation – Lumiere Cashmere in Light Golden
  • Blush –  blush half of e.l.f. Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder
  • Eyeshadow – the shadow half of the e.l.f. Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder
  • Lipstick – Avon Smooth Minerals in Malted Minerals (discontinued)
  • Concealer – Silk Naturals Sleep in a Jar Light Peach Under Eye Concealer
  • Eyeliner – Avon Glimmersticks in Cosmic Brown
  • Mascara – L’oreal Something in Brown (can’t remember what kind! but it’s been discontinued)

I was going for a professional look, and these stand-bys are always quick and easy without looking like I spent a ton of time on my makeup (as I am wont to do).
