Love Tour – Bridal Boutique

Wedding Love Tour, a boutique bridal bash.

On Sunday, my sister and I went to Verandas Beach House in Manhattan Beach for The Wedding Love Tour, a boutique bridal bash.

Verandas is owned by the New York Food Company and is a lovely venue used for weddings and other special events. It’s two blocks from the beach and the weather on Sunday was just perfect.

At this show, there were vendors displaying their wedding and event services. This breathtaking table setting was from The Bloom of Time.

These scrumptious mini cupcakes were from The Sweet & Saucy Shop. They were almost too pretty to eat. I said almost. My favorite was the S’mores cupcake. I love the idea of cupcakes instead of a traditional wedding cake.

These were some drinks at the venue – iced tea with mint, cucumber and lemon water (my favorite) and pink lemonade. These weren’t from any particular vendor but still photo-worthy.

There was also a very exciting raffle where the participating vendors gave away their products or services.

Here’s the table display from LVL Events.

LVL Events offers a really interesting concept – for $100 you and a friend (or your long-suffering sister) can attend a wedding-planning seminar that will guide you through the entire process. You’ll leave the workshop with a binder telling you what to do and when. It sounds like a fun workshop, and perfect for the bride or groom that wants to be hands-on with the details for a really personalized event.
Not for me, though – I just want to show up and eat cake. Or cupcakes.

Bath salts courtesy of Shade Hotel, also in Manhattan Beach. Shade Hotel also offers wedding packages. I think I’ll use these bath salts in an ice bath for my next long run.

Also at the boutique was a photographer, a DJ, a winery, bridal stylists. and a photo booth. New York Food Company was also on hand with paninis (brie and pear oh em gee) and a Thai salad. If that’s the kind of food they cater, I think everyone would be very happy with their wedding fare. No rubber chicken here.

I thought this was a fun event, and it was certainly eye-opening. I had no.idea.at.all how much planning goes into a wedding. All these details can make a person crazy (or broke).

Love Always Nancy J

  1. OH that looks so gorgeous! I love seeing pretty displays…and eating them. TMI…but I’ve been married before and barely had anything to do with it. The reception was at the Fairmont Miramar in Santa Monica a jillion years ago. I just wasn’t into all the little details. It was very pretty though. I recently married again and we did a courthouse thing, the little Korean ceremony at my parents’ house, some photos in Paris and now we’re doing a picnic baby shower/nuptuals party with friends in a couple of months. We are super casual people on the daily so it fits for us!

  2. you’re right wedding shows are great for ideas but could make you spend way too much money, we ate as much cake/food as possible at the one we went to 🙂 thats the only reason the husband left happy

  3. Haha I tried planning a wedding, and totally threw in the towel. We had even saved up the money…I’m just not the ‘wedding seminar’, big shindig kinda girl!

I'd love to hear from you
