MAJOR accessories haul

Before I left Mexico City in earlier this year, my friend and I went to La Ciudadela, (a local artisans’ market) for souvenirs.

We came across this stall, with jewelry made of natural stones. And we bought a ton of stuff.

When we returned to Mexico later this year, Juanita (the talented artisan who created all these irresistible baubles) remembered us! We may or may not have bought a few more items.
I bought these bracelets…

And this pretty set, for which I may or may not have bought a shirt to match…

유씨asked if I could pick up a turquoise necklace for his mother, so of course I had to go back. But…which lovely turquoise necklace to choose?

I settled on this one.

And while I was there, I may or may not have bought this, too…
IMG_7877.JPGJuanita very kindly sized one of the necklaces for me so that they lay nestled. But! There were no bracelets! So Juanita suggested that we return next week and she’d have some ready for me.

Except, when we returned, they weren’t ready. Oh no, Juanita waited for me so that she could size the bracelets to my freakishly small wrist, and did I prefer elasticated bracelets or did I want them with a clasp?

And because my friend liked my amethyst necklace and bracelet set, she asked Juanita to size them for her 2-year old niece…

You can find Juanita in Aisle 7 at Ciudadela Artisans’ Market… tell her the guera sent you and she’ll give you a good price!

I'd love to hear from you
