My perfect nude lipstick

I love Queen Latifah. Love love love. I was an avid fan of Living Single, I have the Dana Owens Album on repeat, and I reminisce about her incredible performance at the Hollywood Bowl.

When I was in NYC a couple of weeks I saw Cover Girl’s Queen Collection at the Target in East Harlem.

Now, I don’t have darker skin tones, but I didn’t let that stop me from purchasing what is quite possibly the perfect nude lipstick.

The texture of Nude Attitude is smooth and lightweight. It’s got a bit of slip to it, so it feels as comfortable as a balm instead of a heavy lipstick. The color is a lightish brown with a bit of gold swirled in so it really complementsmy yellow-toned skin. It’s just so, so pretty…and like $7. $7!!

The Queen Collection from Cover Girl is marketed for women of color, I think even more items from this collection would flatter my pale, yellow-toned skin.

  1. Wendy, that color looks FAB on you sweetheart! I’ve seen these lippies before but I didn’t know how they would hold up so never actually bought one. I’ll definitely need to pick one up now after reading your review 🙂 #BLMGirl

  2. I love that color on you too! And I love your makeup! I’ve been looking at these lipsticks for a while and hadn’t picked up one. I’m going to pick one up and I’ll let you know what color I get.

  3. That looks great on you! But with my cool undertones, I’ve pretty much decided that nudes & I are not a good match. Something like Berry Smoothie or MAC Sweetie is the closest I’ve come to a nude on me!

  4. So beautiful I love it! I wouldn’t have tried any of the Queen products because of my skins color. I too have light skin and I would not think the Queen line would be complimentary to my tone – but I see that I an wrong!!! Looks amazing on you and I can’t wait to try it myself. Do you or any of your readers have a suggestion for a lip liner to compliment this color ??

    1. I don’t know that you necessarily need a lipliner for this color – it’s quite soft and I actually re-apply without a mirror!

I'd love to hear from you
