My Weight Loss Ideas: Drop Those Pounds

Happy Thanksgiving! While I’m off to cook, here’s something to think about for tomorrow.

In a recent Humpday Confessions post, I confessed that I’d put on some weight. Without a doubt, this problem has been on my mind. I believe in living a healthy lifestyle and staying as fit as possible. That is why I’ve made a promise to myself to drop these pounds as soon as I can. I did wonder whether there are people out there in the same position as me. I thought I’d share a few ideas I have now so that you can get some inspiration for yourself too!

  1. Go on a juice diet

First of all, you might have heard a lot about juice diets in the past. These diets are not about neglecting meals for juice. Instead, you have both. You will find that when you start to drink juice on a regular basis, you don’t need to eat as much as you once did. I may get a juice machine for my home to help me along the way. Remember, when you make the juice yourself, you have complete control over what you drink.

  1. Workout for 15 minutes each day

Working out each day can be something of a chore. After all, you probably have a million things to do each day. If you want to make sure that you get the right amount of exercise, you need to make time to hit the gym. I’ve found that a mix of both weights and cardio works well. If you haven’t tried kettlebell training yet, now might be the time to get on board.

  1. Drink water before meals

Before you eat a meal, you should drink a glass of water. All too many people are guilty of overeating. If you are one of those people who eat too much, this tip will help. Often when we believe that we are hungry, we are thirsty. Drinking a glass of water is a massive help as it stops you eating for no reason. When you start your meal, your stomach will already be part full. That means that you will not make the mistake of eating too much.

  1. Get small plates (seriously)

Are your plates massive? You might think that is an odd question, but you should consider it. You need to control the size of the portions you have. Only then, can you be sure that you are not eating too much. When you have small plates, you can’t fill them with too many things.

  1. Avoid stress-eating

Do you stress-eat? I find that when times get hard, all I want to do is sit inside and eat. Don’t do it. When you get into this habit, it can cause no end of problems. If you find that you are eating when you’re not hungry, something is going wrong. The best thing you can do is try to relax. When you chill out a little, everything will be easier than it is now.

What do you think of these ideas? Let me know!

I'd love to hear from you
