It’s Finally Here! P90X3

P90X3 was released today! I had a sneak peek of P90X3 in September – you can read about it here.

Here’s some info about P90X3:

  • All P90X3 workouts are 30 minutes long. This is perfect for people who want an intense exercise program but don’t have the time for regular P90X.
  • P90X3 is a 90-day program, split into 3 Blocks. Blocks 1 & 2 each consist of 4 weeks, while Block 3 lasts 5 weeks.
  • All orders of P90X3, purchased on, through a Coach or through a Challenge Pack, from 12/10/13 through 12/31/13 will include a free P90X3 hat. Imma rock that hat.
  • The meal plan includes a vegan option!
  • I’m giving away a Shakeology shaker cup for anyone that buys the challenge pack through my store.

Here are details of the workouts:

Pumpkin Pie Protein Shake

A few weeks ago, I bought two 3.3-pound tubs of Cinnamon Graham Cracker whey protein from Groupon, thinking they’d be perfect for pumpkin pie protein shakes. And I was right!

Here’s what I put in it:

  • 2 cups of spinach
  • 1 scoop of Optimum Nutrition Cinnamon Graham Cracker Gold Standard Whey Protein
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon Truvia
  • 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla pudding powder

I blended these all up in my NutriBullet. I love the NutriBullet – it pulverizes all these ingredients into a smooth drinkable shake.

This time of year, I’m all about the pumpkin. Pumpkin ravioli, pumkin pie, pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin, pumpkin, pumpkin. And this protein shake tasted like pumpkin pie! But without having to bake or brave the crowds at CostCo. And without a mack ton of calories and sugar too.
This protein shake makes Chest, Shoulders & Triceps workout (aka The Most Humbling of all P90X Workouts) totally worth doing at 5am.

Fitness Friday – Pile on the Miles

Happy November!

Monica from Run Eat Repeat is hosting an annual challenge called Pile on the Miles. The idea is to pile on miles instead of pounds during November. I’m IN!

My goal for November is to run 75 miles. That’s 50% more than I ran in October!

Today I got off to a great start – after P90X Legs & Back with my team, I popped on the treadmill for a quick run.

4% of the way to my goal

Have a great weekend!

Workout Wednesday Link Up

Today’s workout was P90X Shoulders & Arms. This is one of my favorites. I was determined to bring it today and I did!

Shoulders & Arms

Since we’re in Phase 3 of P90X, we haven’t done this workout in a while and I’ve missed it! And I’m really happy to see how I’ve progressed. One of the key elements of P90X is writing down each exercise – how many reps, what weight or band did you use – so you can really see how your body is getting stronger as you go along. It’s very encouraging to know that two months ago, I couldn’t do as many chair dips as I did today.

Then we followed up with Ab Ripper X. Each move should be 25 reps, but there are a few where I just can’t quite get there (V-up Roll-ups, I’m talking to you). But I’m getting closer each time.
If you’re interested in P90X, there are a couple more days until the October promotion for P90X ends. Buy it here! I promise you, your life will change. It sure as heck has changed mine. I mean, waking up at 4:30am to exercise? Unfathomable a few years ago.

Today I’m linking up with Skinny Meg for Workout Wednesday.
