Tough it out Tuesday Link-up

Today I’m linking up with Kay at The Best of Intentions.

The Best Of Intentions

It’s been tough for me to stick to my regular exercise routine. For the last two weeks, I’ve been sleeping in, missing morning workouts, and fitting them in at odd times. I don’t have any excuses – the time change was two weeks ago, and I should be accustomed to waking up and working out at 5am.

On Monday, I started T25. Since I’ll be doing doubles of T25 and Body Beast for the next 8 weeks, I will HAVE to stick to a regular schedule.

I started the T25 program because I am hosting a challenge group and I wanted to do the same workout as my challengers. I needn’t have bothered; there is exactly one participant. I issued invitations to people who expressed specific interest in T25…no one wanted to make the commitment. Okay. I get it – I procrastinated fitness for years before I got into it. Sticking to a routine is tough, and making changes is scary.
On the other hand, no one ever got fit by talking about it. Aannnd the people I invited are avoiding me. From now on, I’ll just smile and nod when someone asks me about exercise and tells me that they need to get in shape.

What’s been tough for you lately?

  1. I am hoping to rebound into a good routine soon; I’ve had a sinus cold for the past week, which meant I broke my streak and stopped working out for about a week. I’m not gonna lie; it’s kind of nice to come home and just put on jammies and watch tv. I just hope that I can jump back into a routine at the end of this week!

    1. Forget about your weight – just find an activity that you enjoy! The weight will take care of itself after that.

  2. I know how hard it is to get people to join challenges, too. Even my husband bailed on me! He was swearing up and down about the paleo diet for over a year saying how it was the optimal diet and we were spending a ton on groceries because he didn’t want to eat what I was eating as a vegetarian and that we should do a paleo challenge… so I made the switch and he bailed on me by Day 3. Ah, people… 🙂

    1. It’s a shame because people are much more likely to succeed with their challenges if they do it as a group!

I'd love to hear from you
