Remember when I blogged about the Crabtree & Evelyn outlet in Mexico City?
Well, I finally got around to trying the items from the Summer Hill Collection. The description from the Crabtree & Evelyn website:
White floral fragrance and hints of fresh grass and orchard fruits capture the scent of a summer afternoon
This fragrance is not too flowery, probably because the grass and fruit cut into the florals. It’s a bright and cheerful scent without being too sweet. I mostly smell honeysuckle and something citrus-y, and I like the non-sharp whiff of green I get from this.
The items I purchased from the collection are dusting powder, shower gel, body lotion, and eau de toilette. In my last Fragrance Friday, I revealed that I don’t always smell too fresh, so I’ve taken to layering my scent in the hopes that it will mask my natural funk last longer.
I think the layering technique is working with the Summer Hill collection. The eau de toilette is a bit strong, at least strong enough that I can smell it, and the body lotion scent seems to lInger. I have to be cautious about over-applying with this fragrance.
Now, you might think it’s odd that I’d be wearing a summertime fragrance in November…but it was 90F degrees here in Los Angeles last weekend, so it’s still totally appropriate!
What’s the weather like in your neck of the woods?
