I just finished Week 2 of the Jeff Galloway Half Marathon Training Plan. Four miles today – phew! Next Sunday is a five mile run…can I do it on a treadmill? No?
No, I’m going George Michael on Sunday runs and taking it outside.
Thus far I’ve pretty much stuck to the treadmill, in a clean, secure, air-conditioned location. Running outside seems problematic. Traffic, uneven pavement, streaming eyes and nose…sigh. I just gotta suck it up and do it.
Way to go! And pavement running isn’t as bad as it seems. You get a nice change of scenery, plus there’s extra calorie burn to sweeten the deal.
