I couldn’t resist jumping in this link-up – it’s about books! Hosted by Pink Heels, Pink Truck, By the Porchlight, and Catching Cody.
The Copper Beech by Maeve Binchy.
I’m a Maeve Binchy tear these days! Set in an small Irish village, people have carved their hopes and dreams into the trunk of a large tree. The novel follows their lives to see what has become of them.
2. What book first made you fall in love with reading?
Charlotte’s Web by E.B. White
There I was, a sobbing 8-year old, and I knew I wanted more of it!
3. Summer is a great time for series. What are your series recommendations?
No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency series by Alexander McCall Smith – makes me want to travel to Botswana!
The Mediator series by Meg Cabot – great YA read!
4. Does a song come to mind with the book you are currently reading? If so what it is?
Breathless from the Corrs. Remember that Irish pop band? This song sprang into my head with the last Maeve Binchy book I read and hasn’t left yet.
5. Are you participating in any summer reading challenges?
I gave myself a Goodreads challenge of 30 books for 2013, but I’m already at 34. A friend of mine said she read oh-so much more with a Kindle and I didn’t get it, but now I totally agree!
What are you reading this summer?
Ooh! I’ve heard about that detective series and it’s been on my radar, because I love books set in Africa. I may need to read them next!
Meg Cabot has the best books- and I love Charlotte’s Web- great picks!
