YOUR JUNE CO-HOST: WENDY FROM BLUSH AND BARBELLS
That’s me!
The House on the Strand – Daphne du Maurier’s novel are always surprising and exciting. I have this as an audio book and am trying to pace myself so I don’t finish it too quickly.
Library! I am a life-long library lover (say that three times fast).
Rebecca – another novel from Daphne du Maurier. Every time I read this, I’m shocked by the events as they unfold.
Pride and Prejudice – duh.
Charlotte’s Web – this was mandatory reading in the 3rd great. I cried ugly at the ending and I am not ashamed.
The Secret Garden – I re-read this a few years ago and it was even more poignant.
5. Who’s your favorite author? Tell us so we can binge-read!
In the last year, I’ve binge-read Maeve Binchy, Liane Moriarty, and Jojo Moyes. I’m waiting for new books from all three ladies that will be coming out soon. Maeve Binchy has a posthumous release this summer.
Thanks for stopping by and link up with us so I can read your answers, too!
One of the things I love about summer is having the chance to read more! I’ve been slacking off lately in that area. Thanks for the reminder.
I wish I could say that I would re-read The Poisonwood Bible but I absolutely hated it. Like took me 2 years to read it hated it. lol It was probably bc the family was so awful. 🙂 Thanks for coho sting with us!!
I think I’ll pick up Rebecca soon. I agree its worth a reread!
I felt the same way about The Poisonwood Bible. NOT a book I would read again! Lol
Awww…Charlotte’s Web. Definitely a classic in my book. 🙂
I love your childhood reading picks! Those are some of my favorites as well.

I appreciated Pride and Prejudice more after the second read, and now it’s one of my all time favorites. I don’t know if re-reading it resulted in picking up more things I didn’t notice previously, or if my age (first read this in high school) had something to do with it.
