Yep, you read that right: there are some clever makeup tricks you can use to get model worthy looks. These tips aren’t for the faint hearted, but with practice, you can become a pro and put your best face forward. I know makeup is supposed to enhance your natural look, but sometimes it’s nice to go all out, right? Let’s get started!
Amazing Definition
Something all models have is amazing definition. Unfortunately, not all of us are born with this sort of definition. However, we can fake it! There are a ton of contouring products out there designed to help give cheekbones, arched brows, a smaller nose, and bigger lips. The way you contour will depend on your face shape, but instructions usually come with the kit. You can even just use a dark foundation and a light foundation to create the effect. You can shade just under your cheekbones and chin, before highlighting your brow arch and the center of your nose.
Big Eyes
Getting bigger eyes is all about being smart with eyeshadow and eyeliner. Darker colors can give you a smokey look, but they can also make your eyes look smaller. Instead of lining your waterline with a dark eyeliner, line it with a white liner to open them up. You can then define the outside of your eye with a brown shadow. Don’t forget to curl your lashes either, or better yet, apply false ones!
Pouty Lips
Almost every model I see has big, pouty lips. Get yours in good condition by using a lip scrub and balm with an SPF in it regularly. You can make them look bigger by overdrawing them slightly with a liner from cosmetics4less, but you must be careful with this so you don’t end up looking like a clown! A dab of highlighter on the top lip can help, as well as a lighter color in the middle of your pout.
Strong Brows
Strong brows like Cara’s are taking the world by storm. You don’t need to have a hair transplant or anything; just find the right product for you. You have a number of options, ranging from pencils to gels. Find one that looks most natural on you, and then focus on enhancing your natural shape. I draw mine in slightly at the front and back, before creating an arch. This will take practice, but it helps to define your face and open up your eyes further. Just make sure you use the right color!
A Flawless Complexion
To achieve a flawless complexion, make sure you use a foundation that suits your skin color and type. You should also apply a primer beforehand to make it stick. A good concealer always helps to get rid of dark circles, and a powder can eradicate shine.
Use these tips and you’ll look naturally sultry, like those gorgeous girls do on the catwalk. You can use these tips before a big night out so you know you’ll look great in your tagged photos the next day!
