Hola from Mexico City! (More on that later). It’s time for another Sunday Social. Or maybe I should call it Domingo Social since I’ll be here for a few weeks.
1. What is your favorite handbag you own?
A purple suede Coach bag that 유씨 gave me when I passed the bar. I never use it because it’s suede and I’m afraid of getting it dirty, so it’s in its dust pouch in the closet. Logical.
2. 3 things you would buy right now if money was no object?
-Freedom from Sallie Mae
-A ticket to Beachbody Summit
-A giant bag of Costco trail mix (the kind with M&Ms). It ain’t cheap in Mexico.
3. Name a place you would go right now if given a plane ticket to anywhere?
I’m kind of in my happy place now because I love Mexico. Maybe a plane ticket to somewhere else within the country.
4. What is the most valuable life lesson you’ve learned from blogging?
There is room for every flower to bloom. That’s something that you just don’t learn in school or work where we strive to be competitive. Blogging is all support and friendship.
5. What is the most valuable life lesson you’ve learned from a friend?
When I was in high school, a friend and I had profound etymological discussion about the various Spanish words for bedroom slippers while we were at our fast food job (the fries pretty much cooked themselves so there was a lot of time for chat). This was pretty handy today when I went into a department store and had to ask for pantuflas.
Do you say bedroom slippers or house shoes? Or something else entirely?
This post contains my Beachbody affiliate link.
Thanks for supporting Blush and Barbells, and good luck on your fitness journey.
Haha the freedom from Sallie Mae made me laugh…amen sista!
Ugh, it’s my fondest desire!
ugh… I should have said freedom from Sallie Mae! Happy Sunday 🙂
Bedroom slippers? I’m hoping this isn’t slang for something rude lol I think we might just call them slippers
Yep, slippers! I don’t think it’s something rude, but I’m sure someone somewhere has given it a slang-tastic meaning.
I say slippies
so does your
I believe Coach has a moisturizer for suede bags. I recently bought their cleanser which is targeted for patent leather. I’m not 100% sure. I hope you’re having fun in Mexico!

Thanks for the tip! I’ll look into it.
I also wish for the freedom from Sallie Mae. I say slippers.
