Today I’m linking with up Endlessly Beloved for Ten Favorite Things. This month’s topic is The Place I call Home.
I call Los Angeles home. It’s actually my hometown; I don’t meet too many native Angelenos these days. These are my 10 favorite things about Los Angeles:
- The scent in the air at springtime – jasmine and orange blossoms.
- Sunrise
- Sunset
- Hiking
- PCH
- Our rich sports heritage. Don’t hate.
- Thrifty Ice Cream
- Ethnic Food – with poeple from every corner of the planet in Los Angeles, you’ll never run out of delicious options to eat. Some of my favorites are Porto’s (Cuban), Park’s BBQ (Korean), King Taco (Mexican), Golden Deli (Vietnamese), Zankou Chicken (Armenian), Kula Sushi (Japanese)
- In-n-Out – I don’t even eat meat and I still love it here.
- Los Angeles International Airport. So many destinations are a direct flight from here!
Where do you call home?

My sister just went to Porto’s this weekend, she loved it! No Roscoe’s on your list?
Roscoe’s isn’t too terribly close; I’ve only been there once.
I went to Porto’s this weekend too!
And last weekend
And the weekend before that…
You are lucky to live in such a beautiful place! And In n Out burger is just a bonus!
I think that YOU are so lucky to live where you do!
But alas, no In-n-Out in Iceland 🙁
I’m calling LA home nowadays and you hit on some of my faves!!!! Seriously I love In and Out milkshakes more than anywhere. LAX is so great for flight deals everywhere! The ethnic food variety spoils me. LOVE it!
Angeleno high five!
I LOVE IN N OUT!!!! LA is the best. Thanks for linking up love!
Thanks for the link-up! I had a lot of fun writing this.
Is it weird that the scent you described sounds like the best part? Although the ethnic food sounds pretty awesome. I love living in Springfield MO because we have lots of great parks and trails for playing, biking, running, etc.
parks and trails are a real asset to a city, that’s for sure.
The orange blossoms are in bloom early this year so I smell them everywhere!
I’ve been to LA once, and it was soooo amazing. As you know, I bounce around now, but my original ‘home’ was Pensacola, Florida!
