I was not appropriately dressed for my race on Sunday. I’d planned on hiking, so I had my hiking gear, but it’s just not right for running. Since it was a tie waistband, I had to hitch up my hiking pants as I ran down the hill, terrified that they would drop and expose my chonies to the people behind me.
I wore yoga pants for the race last month, and those weren’t great either – they were a bit too heavy, plus I really need moisture-wicking pants.
I need an upgrade on my gym clothes too – right now I wear some grey capris, and when you sweat like I do, grey is no bueno. It’s embarrassing, actually.
Browsing the internet, I’ve found a couple of contenders: these Champion DoubleDry hiking/yoga pants look like a good all-around pair of workout pants.
For my next 10K, I’m thinking about getting these Champion DoubleDry bermuda shorts. I like that there is UV protection, but I wonder if they’d ride up. Maybe these Champion capris would be better since they’re knee-length.
What do you wear to workout? Any recommendations for me?
I like to run in capris. They don’t ride up or fall down (unless they’re too big). I got a great pair of moisture wicking ones (in black) at WallyWorld for $10. Now, if I could find some motivation…..Happy Lil’ Friday!
read your comment. you use at home chemical peels and it works? may i ask which one you are using? maybe i should try it out or something!
as for work out clothes, i only wear yoga pants since i dont’ work out very hard haha. sorry i couldn’t be much of help 🙁
Up to this point I have done all my running/hiking in moisture-wicking cropped leggings from Walmart. I’m still losing weight and kept having to size down every couple months so I wasn’t willing to invest in anything pricier. If I had thinner legs I would invest in a few good pairs of running shorts for the summer, though.
