Remember how I am trying to stick to a capsule wardrobe? That includes my workout wardrobe. I’ve made a few uninformed choices in workout clothes and now I’m trying make corrections and fill in the empty spots. This mostly involves replacing cotton with moisture-wicking facbrics. Luckily for me, Marika items are featured on Groupon a regular basis. This time, I bought sports bras.
Now, I have sports bras a-plenty, because my girls need support. However, my cotton bras are only really okay for yoga or weightlifting where I don’t sweat so much. Wet cotton is no bueno – I’ve some pretty horrible heat rashes.
I do have some moisture-wicking sports bras from Gap Body and those are perfectly serviceable – no heat rashes, minimal bounce, everything is fine. Except…they had no lining or molded cups.
So when I saw these on Groupon Goods, I had to snatch them up.
A two-pack of Marika Magic sports bras – one black, one white – for $30+tax. I got them in size medium and the fit was perfect.
I didn’t care too much about shaping or uplift, but what I really needed was molded cups with a tiny bit of lining to keep my headlights dimmed. I’ve worn these a couple of times now and I’m really happy with them. My girls are secure without being smushed, no heat rashes, and no headlights.
I think that just about rounds out my capsule workout wardrobe – I’ve got a few pairs of pants, several shirts (mostly from races), and now enough bras. As long as I do laundry once a week, I’ve got everything I need.
Happy Hump Day!
Don’t forget! P90X Challenge pack is on sale until October 31
That line about having your headlights dimmed, has really made me laugh. Great post.
