I have been in desperate need of workout pants. I had a stash of cotton spandex capris and while they were comfy, they were not the best choice for someone like me who sweats buckets while working out.
Especially since they were all in grey. No bueno.
So I needed to find black moisture-wicking pants and I found a great brand that runs frequently on Groupon – Marika. Marika makes “stylish active wear” so the label rotates through different collections and last season’s models seem to end up on Groupon Goods. I’m cheap thrifty, so I don’t mind sweating in something that may not be the season’s hottest style, so for me this is a great bargain!
For ~$18-20 each including tax and shipping, I’ve bought a few pairs of Marika brand workout pants. There seems to be a new Marika item on Groupon Goods each week or so and I check constantly. I’ve got to be quicker though, because last week there were some sports bras and they sold out before I could place my order. This week, Marika Tek tees are listed, but I don’t need any more workout shirts so I’ll pass.
I read a few good reviews of this brand before I placed my initial order, and I have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone. The pants are thick, sturdy, wash nicely, and they have a cute little waistband pocket where I can stash my lipbalm. Just perfect.
What do you wear to work out?
Read your comment and oh don’t worry I’m not working out for 2 hours a day haha. I listed out the routine I’ll be doing and that takes less than an hour 🙂 I’m starting out small because I know I’ll rage quit if I start out with something ridiculous and overkill. And I guess I’m cheap so I don’t want to buy one of those workout videos. I’ll just stick to my small routine and then build up from there once I get access to a gym 🙂
I like leggings or sweatpants from old navy- so comfty
I had a clear image of what would happen with those grey pants when you said that. I feel you sister :). That dry fit material is in now for women. I’m actually thinking of getting a Dallas Cowboys women’s shirt in that material too!
