Ah, water. It flows so freely from our taps (if we’re lucky and live in a country with plentiful water), but how much if it do we actually drink? I know I don’t drink nearly enough; in one day I drink about 2 liters, or about half a gallon.

So with this round of Body Beast, not only am I going to try to eat properly (food! Always my downfall!), but I’m also going to try to drink a gallon of water a day.

I’ve been doing well so far-I manage to get down a gallon on weekdays. I think flooding my insides helps to keep the munchies away. Bonus-drinking a lot of water makes me go to the ladies’ several times, so I’m not just sitting for 8 hours.

How much water do you drink every day?

  1. Week days I get in 10-12 cups of water. I just make sure I’m never not surrounded by water. I have one water bottle, a bottle of watermelon hint water and a triple berry seltzer. Having the different options helps me think of it as less of a “chore” and more of an enjoyable experience.

    I’m also lucky that I love water… like, LOVE it.

  2. I’ve been good about my water intake. Some days I slip because I just want a soda & I get caught up doing other things. I go to the ladies room a lot too, hah. I’m going trying to do all I can to keep my body happy. After work I plan going on a 3 mile walk., i’m actually excited because it’s beautiful outside! I hope your having a great day!

  3. I try to make it a point to get up every hour and a half throughout my work day and fill up my huge Tervis tumbler with water. I force myself to drink the entire thing in that time frame before my next walk to the fountain. By doing that and having a huge glass in the mornings after my work out…I have all my water in before I leave work for the day! Any I have with dinner is just bonus!

  4. Oh, not nearly enough .. pure water, probably about 2 glasses a day. I do drink other stuff .. coffee, tea (hot/iced), maybe a soda. I’m working on it though .. 🙂

  5. For you non water drinkers- I highly suggest adding lemons, cucumbers, strawberries and mint- makes it so easy to inhale with some extra flavor! Enjoy
