Remember last week’s post in which I wrote about Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Top Coat (again)? I wrote that while the top coat might dry quickly, the layers underneath don’t…
Of course I failed to heed my own advice and look what happened.
This is three coats of Zoya Evangeline. I painted my nails, waited for the top coat to dry, and then got ready for bed.
I have an extensive bedtime routine which involves double-cleansing, toning, brushing and flossing, rinsing with mouthwash, and two types of moisturizers…the manicure was no match for all of that! We’re looking at 5 layers of nail polish – the base coat, three coats of color, and a top coat…of course it wasn’t yet dry.
I thought it was interesting that color kind of peeled away from the top of my nails, like it was pushed down, instead of chipping away. It hasn’t peeled or chipped away anymore than is in this photo. I was kind of lazy to fix it or redo the manicure, and I honestly don’t think I needed to because it didn’t look horrible. And believe me, no one is more critical of me than me.
My conviction remains firm-this top coat is amazing.
I love that Zoya color!!! I have that top coat and I like it, but I have to be careful about drying as well. I had bumps all over my nails the first time I used that stuff.
