A couple of weeks ago, 유씨 and I went to San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Here are some photos from Old San Juan.
This is the old fort, El Morro. It was built in the 16th century. It was really a sight to see.
These flags were flying over the Castillo de San Cristobal fort, built in the 17th century. I’d like to show more photos, but they were filming a TV show there a lot of was blocked off to visitors. I’ll put up with that shizz here at home but I was annoyed that it interfered with my sightseeing!
We went on a Flavors of San Juan food and walking tour (highly recommended) and we stopped at Cuatro Sombras for a fantastic cup of coffee.
Another stop on the food tour – Carli’s Bistro and Piano Bar. The best mojito I’d ever had!
Streets in Old San Juan
The shoreline that the forts were built to protect
Our hotel was on the beach in Condado, just across the lagoon from Old San Juan.
And a photo of some roosters in a nearby park, just because.
I really enjoyed this trip and I wish I’d had a lot more time to explore more of the island, not just San Juan. I’ll be back!
Thanks for looking at my photos! What’s the last trip you took?
You always take the best pictures. The last trip I took was probably to Los Angeles with my family for the weekend. I’d like to go to the Grand Canyon next. I bet it’s beautiful during the fall, and not as hot.
Thank you! I just use my iPhone, nothing fancy.
The Grand Canyon in the fall sounds spectacular!
I LOVE it~!!! I have wanted to go to Puerto Rico but I think, before that, I would like to go to Costa Rica or Belize.
Ooh, Costa Rica is pretty high on my list, too.
San Juan looks really great– especially the old town. Definitely from an area of the world that I would love to see featured more on Travel Tuesday 🙂 Thanks for linking up with us!
Thanks for hosting the link-up!
San Juan looks so gorgeous and colorful. The tasting tour sounds like a great idea 🙂
The food tour was a great way to get to see the city.
