Linking up with Kathy from Vodka and Soda again for Humpday Confessions!
- I wasted the entire day waiting to be called into work (I wasn’t).
- I’m entirely too interested in the Oscar Pistorius trial. It reminds a lot of another superstar sports hero murder trial that happened 20 years ago…
- I resisted cable TV for years, but 유씨 insisted on it when we moved. Now I watch HGTV allllll the time.
- The HGTV shows from Canada are my favorites, probably because people say “house” and “out” in their adorable Canadian accents.
- I eat the same thing every day because it’s easier to track my calories that way. I am a very lazy dieter.
Unburden yourself! What do you want to confess?

I love HGTV! And I tend to get into a slump of eating the same things everyday as well.
I while away hours watching HGTV.
ok, i’m canadian and im interested in knowing what a canadian accent is. i’ve discussed this with other canadian peeps and we assume americans think it’s the accent the folks out east have…sort of has an irish twinge to it. peeps from toronto dont have that; same with vancouver.
It’s the way the people on the show say house/about/out. The TV shows are filmed in Vancouver and Toronto and the pronunciation is pretty consistent. Remember the newscaster Peter Jennings? I had no idea he was Canadian until 9/11 – I think he got emotional during the broadcast and he let that ou- sound slip in.
I have a South African friend so I’ve been following that case since the beginning…its just so bizarre! I also eat the same thing almost every day because its way easier that way. I’ll make something on Sunday and eat it M-F that way I know exactly what it was and my macros for the day.
High five for eating the same thing every day! It really is a lot easier.
I really don’t know what to make of the Oscar Pistorius trial. I think you are right with your comparisons.
The trial is just so dramatic. I wonder what the verdict will be.
HGTV and Bravo are too channels that suck me in all the time!
Right? You sit down for one episode of House Hunters and suddenly it’s three hours later.
i used to watch sooo much HGTV. i got burnt out though, so now i watch bravo. clearly moving on up… 😉
I haven’t reached the burn-out phase yet…I guess I’m pretty nosy and like seeing into other people’s houses!
I LOVE HGTV!!! Property Virgins! She always says house/out like Canadians do! I just have to smile every time I hear it!
Tell that to Kathy – she thinks Canadians don’t have accents!
