I haven’t done a Manicure Monday in a while because my nails are in pretty bad shape. I’ve got a terrible habit of picking and splitting my nails when I’m nervous.
This is two coats of Avon Touch of Taupe
I got tip wear after just 12 hours! I’m pretty sure it’s because I haven’t got tips to wrap, and my nail beds are uneven from all the picking and splitting. I wish I could break that habit.
Application was very easy, and the polish dries very quickly. I pretty much just slapped on these two coats because I wanted a manicure for the next morning and I was tired of looking at my grubby nails. But we won’t let perfection get in the way of progress, so here we go.
No top coat because I wanted the suede effect. I’m a bit behind with the suede trend, but that’s what happens when you only shop from the clearance section.
This is an interesting color. Is it grey? Is it purple? If you can’t tell, that means it’s taupe. It does look different depending on the light and angle, which surprised me because it’s effectively a matte shade.

I recently tried taupe on my toes and was pleasantly surprised. It never seemed to me like a good nail color, but it looks really good against skin. I hope the stress fades away for you soon though!

I love love taupe polishes! My favorites all have purple tinge. This one looks complex & interesting, but more brown from where I see it.
Hope your nails become healthy again! My nails are super strong but I recently broke one so I’m taking biotin supplements again. ;/
My nails grow out pretty fast and strong but I can’t leave them alone.

this is a cool color. when my nails start splitting a lot, i get a gel mani so then they can grow out a bit and hopefully be a little bit stronger. maybe try something like that?

I think Taupe is such a classy color! I wish I could get nail polish to stay for more than five seconds. Haha
