I think I’ve been to Walmart maybe three times in my life, but the last time I went, I picked up Hard Candy nail polish in Hypnotic. It was a nostalgic purchase; I remember using Hard Candy years ago when it was the only company that made unusual colors. I wore Sky to my part-time college job at a white shoe law firm and was told it did not fall within the dress code. How much has changed! No one would think twice about a baby blue nail polish these days. Hard Candy definitely changed the way we paint our nails!
The founder of Hard Candy sold up and made an absolute fortune. Fight on, girlfriend!The company has changed hands a couple of times since then.
In addition to Hypnotic (pictured), I bought Date Night. Both are fun colors, if a bit on the sheer side. No matter – that makes for great layering with other colors. At $5 each a pretty good purchase.

HA, when I saw the picture of the Hard Candy nail polish before reading, I immediately thought of when I was younger and saved up my allowance to buy Hard Candy nail polish in sky blue and sea green!
After I saw swatches of Hard Candy’s dupes for the Illamasqua speckled polishes, I had to go to Walmart to try them out. Some of their new stuff is really great for the price!
