It’s time for another Non-Scale Victories link-up, hosted by KTJ and Life by Lex
My non-scale victory is the improvement in my running speed! I decided to reverse a couple of weeks in my Couch-to-10K program so I could try to pick up some speed, and I did! Monday I did the all running portions at 6.0, and today I did (most) at 6.2 (I did drop down to 5.5 at the end to catch my breath, but I sped right back up after 2 minutes). I’m excited to see how I do on Friday.
And the biggest victory for me? I’m sticking to the plan even though I don’t even enjoy running! I do it because I like seeing improvements, and I *really* like the feeling I get when I’m done. If I’d known how great running makes me feel when I was in high school, I wouldn’t have gone to such great lengths to get out of PE class.
What’s your non-scale victory this week? Put you link in the comments so I can come check it out!
I’m a blonde apparently. It took me like 2 minutes to find your leave a comment button. haha I’m so used to it being at the end! Awesome running times!! I’m still at the beginning stages, I only have 4 runs left to complete the program but I am “running” a 15 minute mile! I think I’ll go back and work on speed when I’m done!
Just found mines out…. Successfully completing my first semester in Grad school! Got As in both classes ^_^.
That is awesome non scale victory!! Keep pushing! I am also working on my speed more these days!
Thats awesome that you are increasing your time and sticking to it! I found when I ditched the treadmill and started running the track that I came to really enjoy running finally. Keep up the awesome work!
that is amazing!!!! i haaaaaaaaaate running on a treadmill so when i do i’m soooooo slowwwwwwww. and i couldn’t do c25k. the rebel in me couldn’t stand being told what to do haha. so props to you for 1) sticking with it and 2) being FAST!
Congratulations on improving your running speed and sticking to the training plan. I’m trying to get back into the swing of things after being sick for two weeks!

Good for you for sticking to it even though you don’t love it yet! I still don’t like running yet, I’m hoping one day that may change for me, who knows! Increasing your speed is awesome, thanks for sharing!
Great job! I used to also go to very creative lengths to skip gym to avoid running 🙂
