The most color I’ve ever seen while travelling has been at Hindu temples.
Mariamman Hindu Temple, Saigon, Vietnam – this temple is dedicated to the goddess devoted to the Goddess Mariamman and is the only Hindu temple in the area still in use. I took this photo in December, 2006.
Last year, I spent a month travelling in South East Asia. I started out in Singapore. Singapore can be a grey city – it’s right on the Equator and there are a lot of tropical storms.
But the Sri Senpanga Hindu Temple in Singapore was exquisitely bright, and it was a sunny day when I visited.
Not a Hindu temple, but still thematic since these photos were taken in Little India, Singapore
I can’t even begin to imagine how beautiful India itself must be.
Beautiful!!! We’re heading to India in February and I’m so excited for the temples! Thanks for linking up!
One of my friends grew up in Singapore and I have been wanting to visit. It seems like a very interesting country!
Hindu temples are beautiful! I wish I knew more about the religion to understand the iconography better, because everything seems to have so much meaning.
amazing photos! i’ve never been to singapore or india, but would love to check them both out sometime.

These photos are pretty. I would also LOVE to go to India. I follow a couple tumblr blogs that post pics of architecture, art and life in India. They always give me wanderlust. 😉
I can’t wait to go to Vietnam, your temple photo is awesome! Infact, all of these photos are!
You have certainly seen some beautiful sights! Great shots. I am now a Follower of your blog. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
I love traveling to new places, and seeing different architecture! Beautiful pics!!
