Wanderlust Wednesday : October

This link up is a way of sharing different parts of our world throughout the blogging community with anyone who wants to join in.   Each month, we have a keyword, this month’s keyword: Color.

True Colours

And with that keyword, bloggers can link up and share anything they want on the subject of Color around the world… colorful locations, places you want to see filled with color, whatever you like!  So link up, grab the button and enjoy the fun!

The most color I’ve ever seen while travelling has been at Hindu temples.

MariammanHinduTempleHoChiMinhCityMariamman Hindu Temple, Saigon, Vietnam – this temple is dedicated to the goddess devoted to the Goddess Mariamman and is the only Hindu temple in the area still in use. I took this photo in December, 2006.

Last year, I spent a month travelling in South East Asia. I started out in Singapore. Singapore can be a grey city – it’s right on the Equator and there are a lot of tropical storms.

But the Sri Senpanga Hindu Temple in Singapore was exquisitely bright, and it was a sunny day when I visited.

Not a Hindu temple, but still thematic since these photos were taken in Little India, Singapore

I can’t even begin to imagine how beautiful India itself must be.

  1. These photos are pretty. I would also LOVE to go to India. I follow a couple tumblr blogs that post pics of architecture, art and life in India. They always give me wanderlust. 😉

I'd love to hear from you
