If you’re anything like me, you like to snack at work. Whether it’s to relieve boredom or stress, I’m constantly chomping down on something.
I think raw red peppers are the perfect snack. Crunchy, sweet, portable, and ~40 calories. 40 calories! That’s pretty much negligible. I buy them at CostCo for $4.50 for 6. That’s one for every day of the week, plus a spare! I just keep the baggie on my desk and reach in to pull out a strip when I’m feeling peckish. Much better than stuffing my face with Cheez-its as I have been wont to do.
What other healthy snacks can you recommend?
Red and Yellow peppers are my favorite snacks as well.
Almonds are one of my favorite snacks, though they can be expensive in some stores. I sometimes microwave a half-cup of frozen peas and stir a half-tablespoon of grated Parmesan cheese into them. I also like to have chocolate almond milk if I am craving sweets.
