Today’s Run

I tried for 5 miles, but the treadmill shut down after an hour. I wasn’t running too terribly fast, and I took a fair few walk breaks, so I just missed my mark.

daily mile

An hour on the treadmill sounds dull, doesn’t it? But it wasn’t!

casualtyIt gave me a chance to catch up on my medical drama.

Still, there’s no way around it – I’m eventually going to have to take the run outside.

Maybe I’ll put this on my playlist.

My recovery drink- 2 handfuls of spinach, 2 carrots, 2 celery stalks, a mushroom, 10 raspberries, 4 strawberries, a splash of lemon juice, a sprinkle of tumeric, and plenty of water to make it liquidy. Not the prettiest drink in the world, but it’s really tasty.

  1. I’m getting closer and closer to starting to run. I had to fix my nutrition before I could think about exercising on a regular basis. Now that I’ve done that, I’m trying to surround myself with lots of fitness enthusiasts (like you) to motivate me for the next step of my journey. I’m thinking of running outside………..under the cover of darkness, of course.

  2. You are such a trooper! I have to admit my cardio has been lacking because I haven’t been able to get away from my laptop in my free moments I get throughout the day when I’m not taking care of the house and my toddler. Hubby works early until about 3 and I’m usually meaning to go out then, but it hasn’t worked out. I have been doing some short exercises while baby is at the high chair which I feel really great about! You are so right. The color of that drink does not look tasty, but it sounds so good for you. That’s good that it tastes great! Thank you for linking up to the Get Fit Friday Hop. Sorry it took me so long to get around to your blog. This week has been crazy! <3

I'd love to hear from you
