Today I’m linking up with True Colours blog for Wanderlust Wednesday! Today’s theme is Europe.
Here are some photos of my semester in Sevilla, Spain, in 1995. Almost 20 years ago! What an exciting adventure. I chose Spain because I studied medieval European history and I didn’t want to have to struggle with language.
Nearly every weekend I travelled to a different part of Spain, sometimes alone, sometimes with other people in my program. I wanted to see all the places I’d read about.
It’s hot in the Andalucia region but these narrow, whitewashed alleyways are cool and shady.
Granada: Monument commemorating that Queen Isabel accepted and funded Christoper Columbus’ plans. Fascinating that Columbus is vilified in one part of the world yet celebrated in another.
Have you travelled abroad? What’s your dream destination?
Great photos! Thanks for sharing and linking up!
I have yet to get to Spain — I hear so many great things about Sevilla!
So fun! I love Spain but have never been to Seville. I loved Cordoba, though–fresh figs and citrus groves galore 🙂 Thanks for stopping by Club Narwhal!
I still need to visit Spain. I think my dream dedtination has to be San Francisco and Venice(Italy)
